The top communications adviser to the president has left the White House amid questions over her role in the president’s decision to end DACA, according to Axios sources familiar with the situation.
The source spoke to Axiom on condition of anonymity.
The source also spoke to Politico about the president and Kellie Conway’s role in his decision to drop DACA.
Kellie and Donald have been partners in the administration for a number of years and are very close, the source said.
They’ve known each other for years and have been very involved with the administration.
There were concerns from some members of the press and some people on the left that they were playing politics and were politicizing this decision, the Trump source said, adding that Kellie was in the room during the president making the decision.
The decision was taken without the input of the president, he added.
